Taco Guild Supports Veterans

By | News

Veterans’ Day is a time to honor and be thankful for those who’ve fought for our freedom. Many businesses and companies show their appreciation by offering special discounts, freebies, and incentives to US military veterans, active duty service members, and their families. As Veterans’ Day approaches, Taco Guild would like to pause and honor the men and women who have served and are serving our country. So, this November 11th & 12th 2018, veterans who dine with us and present their military ID will receive $25.00 gift card, which can be redeemed on their next visit. Taco Guild Brunch – Savory, Sweet with Some Spirits Mixed In

By | Brunch

Gone are the days when brunch was a once-a-year celebratory meal to honor Mom on her day. Today, the weekend meal is sacrosanct among many of us seeking to cap the week with a late morning catching up with family and friends. The growing popularity of brunch is supported by Google search trends. Did you know that digital searches for brunch have more than doubled nationally over the past decade?

At Taco Guild, our brunch’s popularity continues to soar – a testament to Chef Lujan and her team’s dedication and passion for inventive brunch dishes that taste amazing and hit the mark. Don’t take our word for it; these are three reasons why our fans say Taco Guild brunch is the best in Phoenix:

Coffee-braised beef hash – The fact that it tastes incredible may have something to do with its popularity, but we also like to think that it’s because you can ‘eat’ your caffeine and leave room for a drink. If our fans’ word is not enough, watch Cooking Channel’s Michael Symon rave about it. He featured the beef in this season’s premiere of Burgers, Brews & ‘Que.Brunch in a glass – Ok, maybe you add a taco to go with your Holy Mother Mary drink but, this guest favorite, made with Tito’s vodka and pequin-pepper-infused Bloody Mary mix, has enough fixings to count as an appetizer. The one pictured above, recently featured by Phoenix New Times, is topped with Mexican street corn, deviled eggs, jalapeño-infused bacon, and longaniza sausage.

No need to skip church – Taco Guild’s unique setting – a renovated Methodist church built in 1893 – features original artwork, stained glass, and wooden pews. The atmosphere is a balance of modern and traditional and a great setting to sit back and enjoy a contemplative dining experience. Taco Guild’s brunch menu, a perfect balance of savory and sweet, is in complete harmony with the setting.

Taco Guild Promotes Sam Cavallaro To General Manager

By | News

If you know Taco Guild, you know Sam Cavallaro. His warmth and passion for great food and creating memorable dining experiences are felt in everything we do. In the words of Dan Santos, our Operations Manager “he is truly the heart of Taco Guild.” With heart and gusto, Sam has led us to great success. He joined us in 2015 as a Bar Manager and quickly set out to establish ours as one of the most extensive tequila collections in Phoenix. Extensive, the collection is documented in our exclusive Tequila Bible, which has been known to elicit a ‘Hallelujah’ (or two).

Earlier this year Sam was asked to take on the Hospitality Manager position where his passion for supporting local and community-driven initiatives has led to fruitful partnerships with beloved Arizona brands and business opportunities that position the restaurant for continued success.

His tireless commitment to shining a spotlight on the celebrated work of Chef Lujan and her team, as well as highlighting Taco Guild’s brunch menu have led many of us to find the restaurant for the first time – enough reason to stop by and join us in celebrating him on his success.  Knowing Sam, he may just come over and sit with you to learn more about your passions, while also sharing a bit of history about our church, Phoenix’s culinary scene, or the anatomy of the perfect cocktail.

Cooking Channel Spotlights Taco Guild – Best Tacos in Phoenix

By | Best Tacos Phoenix, News

What makes a taco the best? What makes it worthy of traveling thousands of miles and contending with extreme summer dessert heat? Cooking Channel’s Michael Symon answered these questions while biting into Taco Guild’s duck taco with fried brie and fire-roasted apricot compote for the season premiere of his foodie-favorite Burgers, Brews & ‘Que.

Intent on shining a spotlight on the best meat dishes and local beers around the country, Michael Symon chose Taco Guild’s award-winning tacos to kick off the show’s fourth season. Michael met Chef Teja Lujan in the Taco Guild kitchen for a lesson on coffee braising and insights into her penchant for combining unexpected ingredients to achieve mouthwatering results.

The recently-introduced Cartel coffee braised beef celebrated by Michael Symon is not only found paired with mango relish in the popular taco but is also prominently featured in several Taco Guild brunch dishes, including the popular Cartel Coffee Hash & Eggs.

Taco Guild’s brunch is an ode to Chef Lujan’s gift of taking ingredients you normally wouldn’t expect to see in your kitchen and turning them into a classic dish that brings you to a nostalgic place.

Watch the episode here, and visit Taco Guild during brunch, lunch, or dinner to try the dishes celebrated by the Cooking Channel as one of the best tacos in the US.
